FAQ

● Why should I use DOMA?

QUALITY

We pride ourselves on using only the best materials that will last. We use quality woods and composites. No MDF, no cheap plastics, no shortcuts, all designed for longevity and sustainable living. Our paints are UV treated, so they won't yellow over time, and our products are designed to last in the harshest conditions.

PRICE

Because we are a small company, we are much more agile than our competitors. We don't have big overheads such as showrooms or offices, and we won't try to sell you something you don't need. We are confident that we have the most competitive prices in New Zealand.

SERVICE

We aim to please, and will do whatever we can to make you get the best experience from start to finish. All our installations come with a 10 year manufacture's warranty covering workmanship and products, and our friendly team are only a call away. All our shutters come with spare hardware, touch up paint, and louvres, meaning any issues are easily remedied.

● What are your lead times?

We understand you want to get things done quickly! Because our products are all hand-made bespoke to your windows, the process isn't quick. Our current lead time for shutters is around 12 weeks from purchase to installation, but this does fluctuate. Blinds take around 2 weeks.

● Do you guarantee your products?

All our work comes with a 10 year guarantee covering the installation and manufacture. If you encounter any issues, don't hesitate to give us a call.

● Can I get a quote online?

Yes! If you prefer, we can give you an estimate based on dimensions you provide, then if you are happy, we can come out to check measure and provide colour samples. Get in touch here.

● How does payment work? Do you offer finance?

We ask for a 50% deposit before we commence work, with the remaining balance due on the day of installation. This can be paid by bank transfer, or credit card if requested. We do have finance options available.

● Do shutters help with home insulation?

Based on research endorsed by the BBSA, window shutters can have up to 58% savings on heat loss, a dramatic improvement if you are looking to make your home more energy efficient.
