The most versatile of shutter styles, the Tier on Tier design features separately opening panels on the upper and lower section. Often the top half will open while the bottom half remains closed for privacy.
Tier on tier shutters – just like full height shutters – cover the entirety of the window, but with one big difference. The top and bottom panels open independently, letting you control the upper and lower sections separately.
They’re incredibly versatile indoor shutters, granting both privacy and plenty of natural light. Want full coverage? Simply close all the panels? Need a bit of privacy while letting the sunshine in? Close the bottom tier-on-tier shutter panels and leave the top open. Simple!
Tier on tier shutters are available in the Hardwood and Wet Room range.
Tier-on-tier shutters’ independently moving panels leave you with total privacy, lots of natural light, or somewhere in between. With either the top or bottom panel’s slats open and the others closed, you can create a lovely, relaxing ambient glow, and they complement bay windows beautifully.
Can’t decide between café style shutters and full height shutters? Tier-on-tier is the answer. Close all panels for total window coverage, open the top for half-height shutters, and tilt the slats for extra light control.
Tier-on-tier plantation shutters look most at home on tall windows. They’re particularly well suited to bay and sash windows, or any window with a horizontal dividing point. That way, you can line them up with your window’s natural shape.
